I work as a Member Services Coordinator at the Iowa Association of Business and Industry (ABI)

All of it! I will try and focus in on just a couple of things though.

1. The members that I consistently interact with is at the top of my list. ABI is a statewide association with member businesses that represent over 330,000 employees across the state. With most major industries represented, I get to interact with so many unique perspectives. A bonus is the ability to see so much of the state while doing so.

2. The workplace. We have a small number of employees and work in the office. This has allowed me to really get to know and learn from all of my wonderful coworkers. It also allows for me to bring any ideas I may have to the table and actually take action on them.

I enjoy running. I participated in cross-country and track while at Simpson College. Since then, I have run Grandma’s Marathon in Duluth, MN and the Boston Marathon. My intention is to run the Chicago Marathon in 2024 with the goal of eventually completing the Abbott six major marathons (Berlin, Boston, Chicago, London, New York City, Tokyo). Otherwise, I enjoy checking out restaurants, events, festivals and breweries around the metro. There is always something new to check out.

West YP puts on the best events. The educational opportunities always provide me with a few key takeaways. The social outings allow me to connect with other young professionals who are passionate about their career path, at some of the best spots in the area.
