Standout leader from the community featured each month
After growing up in Norfolk, Alec decided to leave the state of Nebraska and attend Drake University in Des Moines. While in college, Alec had an amazing job shadow experience led by Adam Kaduce at R&R Realty Group which started his love of commercial brokerage. Since his graduation, Alec has been active in Iowa’s commercial real estate scene for the past four years and is currently an Associate at Cushman & Wakefield. To date, Alec has represented over 8 million square feet of office, industrial and retail real estate across Central Iowa.
Alec’s life motto is “A comfort zone is a beautiful place, but nothing ever grows there”. Wilcox has gotten out of his comfort zone on many occasions including being the West YP Chair in 2021 and serving on the Ronald McDonald House of Central Iowa Board, a role he is most passionate about.
When asked what Alec loves most about West Des Moines, he stated “It has the perfect mix of urban and rural amenities from Jordan Creek Mall to Browns Woods.” Other than enjoying the many amenities West Des Moines has to offer, Alec and his wife love to play board games and travel whether it be in Iowa, nationwide or abroad.
Alec was a very key asset to our growing West YP group, and we are thankful for his leadership. You will still see him at many events as he enjoys getting connected with so many members that are clearly emerging leaders in the WDM community.
