WDM Leadership Academy Class Project
The West Des Moines Leadership Academy selects a non-profit organization to support and raise money for each year. This year’s class chose to partner with Food Bank of Iowa as they continue to stock area pantries and organizations with resources during COVID-19. Their goal is to raise as much capitol as possible to support Food Bank’s top priority of ensuring that our most vulnerable neighbors have access to the nutrition and resources they need. Learn more here about how you can be a part of the solution for food insecure Iowans during this time of crisis.
Give Back: Monetarily or Voluntarily
The DSM Local Challenge encourages Greater Des Moines residents to support local businesses while practicing social distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic. Post a photo of yourself supporting a local business on social media stating “I support (name of business)” with the hashtag, and tag three friends to do the same.
