Business’ physical doors may be closed, but their virtual doors are open. The Central Iowa – Shop Where I Live website was created not only to combat against COVID-19, but it is also a local alternative for our community to other online giants such as Amazon. Enjoy this one-stop-(virtual)-shop where you can browse various products and services from businesses all across Central Iowa.

Stay in, Take-Out

Businesses have to adjust the way they offer their products and services during this time. Things are evolving every day, so we created a way for businesses to share these updates with you. Join this Community Facebook Group to get updates on who offers delivery versus curbside to-go, adjusted hours and operational capabilities, and more information.

The West Des Moines Leadership Academy selects a non-profit organization to support and raise money for each year. This year’s class chose to partner with Food Bank of Iowa as they continue to stock area pantries and organizations with resources during COVID-19. Their goal is to raise as much capitol as possible to support Food Bank’s top priority of ensuring that our most vulnerable neighbors have access to the nutrition and resources they need. Learn more here about how you can be a part of the solution for food insecure Iowans during this time of crisis.

Give Back: Monetarily or Voluntarily

Learn more here about how you can give back to local non-profit organizations to keep our community #WDMstrong during these challenging times.
