LTN Member Spotlight – Rafael Verduzco Mendoza

The Latino Trade Network (LTN) is a program designed for Latino entrepreneurs, business owners, and professionals to connect, collaborate, and grow together on a regular basis.

Participants meet monthly in small groups to share best practices, exchange referrals and leads, and learn from LTN mentors. In addition to these gatherings, all members are invited to larger networking events hosted throughout the year.

Meet one of our members: Rafael Verduzco Mendoza. Born in Colima, Mexico, and raised in Iowa, Rafael grew up with a dream of achieving financial independence and helping others do the same. Today, he works in financial services, guiding families through life insurance, investments, and money strategies that can create generational change. His mission is to empower Latino families with financial education and open doors for building lasting wealth.

I was born in Colima, Mexico, and grew up in Iowa with a dream to achieve financial independence and help others do the same. Today, I work in financial services, helping families understand life insurance, investments, and money strategies that can change generations. My mission is to empower Latino families with financial education and create opportunities for them to build wealth.

I stay involved through mentorship, volunteering, and showing up at events like LTN to support others. It’s important because I believe success isn’t just about what you achieve individually—it’s about what you give back.

I was inspired to join the Latino Trade Network because I wanted to surround myself with like-minded entrepreneurs who share the same passion for growth, discipline, and community impact. As a Latino business professional, I know how powerful it is to have a strong network that not only shares opportunities but also uplifts each other.

I enjoy the relationships the most. Every conversation opens doors—not just for business, but for personal growth. The encouragement, collaboration, and willingness to share knowledge have been game-changers for me.

LTN has taught me resiliency in entrepreneurship and given me the confidence to push forward in building my business, even when challenges arise. Personally, it has helped me feel more connected to my roots and reminded me that success is much more meaningful when you bring your community along with you.

I would encourage others to join because it’s more than just networking—it’s a family. LTN gives you access to mentors, business leaders, and peers who want to see you win. For Latinos who are trying to establish themselves professionally, it’s an environment that accelerates your growth.

Through LTN, I’ve met business owners, real estate professionals, and community leaders who have not only supported me but also connected me with opportunities to grow my business. More importantly, I’ve gained friendships that will last a lifetime.

Don’t be afraid to introduce yourself and share your story. The more open and consistent you are, the more value you’ll receive. LTN is about building long-term relationships, not quick transactions.

The biggest opportunity is financial literacy and business ownership. If more Latinos learn how money works and take advantage of entrepreneurship, we can change the narrative for generations and strengthen our influence in the community.

By showing up, collaborating, and giving referrals. Simple actions—choosing to hire Latino professionals, sharing their businesses on social media, or recommending them to friends—make a big difference.
